Inlaks Award for Indian Classical Music enables talented young musicians to realize their full potential in the realm of Indian classical music within the country.

Each year two young musicians are awarded the Inlaks Award for Indian Classical Music.

The selected musicians will be financially supported for one year for training in Indian classical music.

The criteria for selection are

- Recognition of exceptional talent in music.

- Potential to achieve higher levels of excellence in music.

- Reference, continued guidance and evaluation by the guru.
