The second Inlaks alumni meet for 2024 in India, and the first ever in Bengaluru, was held on 23rd November 2024. It was preceded by the Theatre Showcase event, where the Theatre Awardees for 2024 shared the practice they had been working on over the last year. For more on the showcase, read here. 

Attended by past Scholars, Grantees and Awardees right from 1977 up to 2023, as well as supporters and friends of the Foundation, the evening witnessed animated discussions between them. Several old friendships were revived and many new ones were struck. 

One of the seniormost Scholars from the batch of 1977, Anmol Vellani, reminisced about his own selection, foregrounding the vision of the Foundation and the raison d'etre of the Founder's idea to support young Indians.

The alumni present were a mix from eclectic backgrounds such as academia, media, conservation, art and theatre, making for a very interesting exchange of ideas and possibilities.

Country Director Priyanka Varma shared how the Foundation's arms and legs have always been its alumni, and that there is rarely a process where they are not involved in some capacity, enriching its work and continuing to fortify the Foundation's vision and values.
