Sahana leads the theatre group Bhavaikyata Vedike and conducts street plays and camps to create social awareness and change.
A 2016 Inlaks Theatre Awardee, Sahana is a graduate of the National School of Drama, Ninasam, and a PhD holder from Bengaluru University. She grew up in Azadnagar, a slum near Hosapete, and witnessed many social issues which adversely impacted people and families. Deeply motivated to address these, she conducts free drama camps for underprivileged children, and stages plays that shine a light on many social evils.
