Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be an Indian passport holder and currently residing in India.
The applicant may be a contemporary visual art practitioner working in all disciplines, in the know of Gasworks’ restricted facilities.
An applicant who may be an emerging and mid-career artist producing high-quality work and who hasn't had the opportunity to work in London earlier will be prioritised.
The applicant must have at least a moderate level of spoken English proficiency.
Exclusion
The applicant should not have received any prior grant from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation for any other overseas project.

About the Residency
The Residency comprises:
24-hour access to a fully accessible studio at Gasworks, alongside other visiting artists and Gasworks’ permanent studio holders.
An Open Studio, or similar public presentations, at Gasworks.
Single room accommodation within Gasworks Residencies House (a 3-storey house, shared with 3 other artists-in-residence).
About Gasworks
Established in 1994, Gasworks is a non-profit contemporary visual art organisation working at the intersection between UK and international practices and debates. We provide studios for London-based artists; commission emerging UK-based and international artists to present their first major exhibitions in the UK; and develop a highly-respected international residencies programme, which offers rare opportunities for international artists to research and develop new work in London. All programmes are accompanied by events and participatory workshops that engage audiences directly with artists and their work.
