The Inlaks Residency at International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York

The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation and International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, New York, supports a residency for curators and artists from India.

The residency will take place from 1st April 2025 to 30th June 2025.

Duration and Value

  1. The residency is up to three months. 

  2. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private and furnished studio space, regular studio visits from visiting critics, field trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, and participation in ISCP Talks.

  3. Residents are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects.

  4. The residency includes a stipend for accommodation and living expenses in New York City and travel costs.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be an Indian passport holding citizen and resident in India at the time of application.

  2. The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1989.

Exclusion

The applicant should not have received any prior grant from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation for any other overseas project

ISCP is a leading nonprofit, residency-based contemporary art institution for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world, including the United States. 

With more than 35 artists and curators in residence at all times, the program provides residents with the space, time, and support to develop new projects. With additional activities tailored for professional development and public engagement, ISCP serves as an important platform for producing, presenting and contextualizing contemporary art through a diverse range of international perspectives.

ISCP welcomes artists and curators from all parts of the world, including many Asian countries. ISCP’s public programs encourage dialogue and integrate residents into the cultural community of New York City.
