We are delighted to welcome the recipients of the Inlaks Fellowship for Social Engagement for 2025.

Isha Badkas

Isha is a facilitator embarking on a project to co-create autobiographical narratives exploring gender and sexuality for the students of 4th to 7th and 8th to 10th classes, culminating in a one-of-a-kind book that will serve as a resource for students.

Hasina Khatun

Hasina is a communications consultant who plans to document the experiences of women living with lymphatic filariasis, a neglected tropical disease, in Kanpur Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

Deeptangshu Kar

Deeptangshu is a practicing advocate who will engage in legal representation, community empowerment and policy reform for urban poor, migrant workers and tea estate workers.

Heena Sonker

Heena, a postgraduate in urban studies, will be writing a book about the lived experiences of her own community, the Khatik community, where she explores their identity and erased history through stories about food.

Asha M

Asha will be working on developing capabilities and skill-sets to empower forest dwelling tribal youth from in H.D. Kote Taluk, Karnataka, who are first-generation learners. 

M. Huzaifa

Huzaifa is a lawyer whose Fellowship project, ‘Tracing the Impact of SC’s Guidelines on Bulldozer (In)Justice’, critically examines the enforcement of the Supreme Court’s guidelines on punitive demolitions.
