We are delighted to welcome the recipients of the Inlaks Fellowship for Social Engagement for 2026.
Halima Sheikh
Halima Sheikh has been working with marginalized adolescent girls who have been deprived of an education. She plans on writing stories during the Fellowship to bring to light the hidden history of the Bengali Muslim community of her area, Seemapuri in Delhi.
Ketan Rathod
Ketan Rathod is a media practitioner whose current research focuses on the intergenerational continuation of caste-based sanitation work. During the Fellowship, he aims to undertake action-based research that combines documentation of the community’s oral histories, along with community engagement.
Anjum Rashid
Anjum Rashid is an avid naturalist and an Anganwadi helper from the Van Gujjar community. During the Fellowship, she intends to focus on empowering Van Gujjar women on issues including their health and menstrual hygiene, their education and fundamental rights.
